A Recreational Centre for the Specially abled children, run by Assam Child and Women Welfare Society was formerly inaugurated by Shri Paban Kumar Barthakur IAS (retd) and Chairman Real Estate Regulatory Authority on 16.08.2025 (Saturday) from 10 AM onwards at Kalyani Niwas, Rupnagar, Guwahati. This Centre will be a Recreational home of the disable children and will also help in their rehabilitation, physiotherapy and speech therapy Both Day boarders and Residential children will be given these facilities. Several organizations have helped ACWWS in establishing this Centre. the Centre was funded by CSR IndiaCarbon, Assam Carbon, SBI & Rotary Club of Gauhati West. Purnima Kalita an inmate of Ashaneer rendered a beautiful song.
